Overview

Liz Alden Wily is a tenure specialist based in Nairobi, Kenya, who combines practitioner and research roles for global and national initiatives. She is affiliated with Leiden University and the Rights & Resources Initiative. This perspective is an abridged version of the third Al-Moumin Distinguished Lecture on Environmental Peacebuilding.

 

The Al-Moumin lecture series is part of a broader effort by ELI, UNEP, AU, and other institutions to foster analysis and dialogue regarding the connections between conflict, peace, and the environment, including a book series examining the role of natural resources in post-conflict peacebuilding.
