The Moving Energy Initiative is excited to launch a call for proposals to support investment in a small number of pilot projects that aim to reduce fossil fuel consumption and improve energy access in displacement settings in Kenya, Burkina Faso and Jordan.

In each location, between 1 and 3 projects will be selected which can deliver tangible outcomes in improving energy access and reducing carbon emissions. We are looking for innovative and sustainable energy solutions and delivery models that can provide heating, cooking, lighting, water & sanitation, communication or other vital purposes for displaced persons.

If you think your organization can make a difference then we want to hear from you!

Important details:

  • Project must be based in either Kakuma or Kalobeyei refugee camps (Kenya), Goudoubo refugee camp (Burkina Faso) or the Irbid region of Jordan.
  • Funding can range from £50,000 - £200,000 per location
  • Deadline for proposals is the 25th February
